Text Box: From the very beginning, 1961 by Del Webb, Sun City Center was destined to be Florida’s Premier Retirement Town. One resident in the household must be 55 years of age with no one under the age of 18 years residing for more than 30 days each year, unless granted an exception as per the Federal Housing laws. All pets must be restrained and clothes lines, fences and antennas are not permitted in most areas.

Conveniently located on Florida’s West Coast between Tampa and Sarasota, Sun City Center is mere minutes from Florida’s best beaches along the Gulf of Mexico. Sun City Center has been professionally planned and developed to provide a variety of housing to accommodate the retirement lifestyle. Couple this with a year ‘round list of activities and you’ve got an unbeatable combination.
Now home to more than 17000 residents, Sun City Center has maintained a constant growth, year after year, with homeowners coming from all parts of the United States and abroad. Newcomers are frequently confused by the relationship between Sun City Center (single family, duplex villa and condo homes), Kings Point (full service condominium villas), Lake Towers (assisted care living and nursing home facilities), The Courtyards and Aston Gardens (independent living rental facilities), and Freedom Plaza (assisted care living and nursing home facilities). Each shares a common post office, shopping centers, medical facilities, banks, and churches. In most respects, these communities are totally separate with each having its own semi-restricted facilities, organizations and programs. However, many entertainment and social programs are open to all local residents, and the national organizations with local chapters draw members from all 6 communities.

Whether you choose a one or two-story, single family home or duplex or villa condominium, an active lifestyle is yours to enjoy. A condominium villa home can be bought from the $80s to $300,000s or a single family or duplex villa can be bought from the $100s to $600s. Also, you can choose to live in full, part or no maintenance areas. There is a home style and price to fit everyone’s budget.

Our amenities—$245.00 per year per person in Sun City Center and included in the condominium fee for Kings Point residents—include indoor and outdoor heated pools, tennis, shuffleboard and pickle ball courts, lawn bowling greens, fitness and hobby centers, game and meeting rooms, and a 10,000 square foot theater which schedules top entertainers on a regular basis.

Sun City Center offers over 200 clubs and organizations which are managed and scheduled by Directors of Recreation in its Town Hall, Community Hall, and Kings Point Clubhouses. From hobbies to crafts to community projects, there’s an organization just right for you.

Approximately one-third of our residents are active golfers. Whether you’re a beginner or pro, you can enjoy playing our 162 holes of golf. Choose a course that is just right for you. The fees to play golf are about $2,500 per person, per year, including greens and trail fees, after any applicable initiation fees. Sun City Center is also home of the internationally known Ben Sutton School of Golf.

Sun City Center provides its residents a friendly, energetic lifestyle.
